Baltimore businessman and philanthropist, Kevin Seawright made a commitment to empower, strengthen, and serve communities in Maryland. He serves the community where he conducts business at his firm, RPS Solutions by working with local charitable organizations.
In 2015, he established RPS to give first-time homebuyers the opportunity to purchase their own home in Baltimore.
His mission is to offer solutions that address the issues in some communities, especially making homes reasonably priced and accessible. Market Wired has it that Kevin Seawright’s ultimate goal is to improve the homeownership rate, which was approximately 48 percent, in 2016.
Today, Mr. Seawright continues to attract citizens in the Baltimore area, including the neighborhood of Belvedere Square to purchase their first house.
He beleives homeownership in the city and nearby areas encourages economic growth, creating job opportunities, spirited communities, and stable neighborhoods.
Prior to establishing RPS Solutions, Seawright worked with local government, education, and real estate sectors in Washington, D.C., as well as, Baltimore. One of his accomplishments include the design and implementation of a new accounting system for Baltimore’s Commission on Aging and Retirement. He saved the agency more than $100,000 in funds.
According to Angel.co, Kevin Seawright accomplished the following: transformed revenue planning corporate processes; improved staff retention; and built responsive accounting and finance divisions.
He’s worked for agencies, including Newark Community Economic Development Corporation, Housing Authority of Baltimore City, and the Department of Housing & Community Development’s Homeless Services.
